Bubble Baths - Pros and Cons

Taking baths can be relaxing and a way to unwind. You do have to watch what you put in the bath and the ingredients. There are good and bad things about baths, so you need to know what you are doing before starting the water.

There are many good things about taking baths. Relaxation is key- it is nice to take a long hot bath after a hard day. Light a couple of candles and turn down the lights to really relax. It is also good to sooth anal fissures or hemorrhoids. You want to take a sitz bath; it will help you feel more comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. It is also a perfect time to take a bath after giving birth. This helps you heal faster and make you feel more comfortable. It helps clear up boils, take a very hot bath and you will see results. If you are feeling sick, like with a cold, a hot bath can make you feel better. It also can help with psoriasis, taking a bath and moisturizing. There are many benefits to taking baths.
 
 
While there are benefits there is one thing to watch out for. You can get vaginitis; this is an infection or inflammation of the vagina. There are three types: yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis, and bacterial infection. You will have itching or burning and a change in discharge. You can also have pain during sex, redness, swelling, or odor. This is caused by bacteria, yeast, or other germs. Bath products are a huge culprit. The things you put in the bath will determine if you get an infection or not. You want to stay away form the smelly stuff. You can but baking powder in a bath or take a sitz bath. I will take a bath with just warm water, nothing else in it. You use the smelly stuff and it will throw off your normal bacteria and you will have problems. If you have any symptoms make an appointment with your OB doctor, they can give you medication to help clear it up.
 
 
There are pros and cons to taking baths. The pros outweigh the cons, especially if you take the right kind of bath. You do not want the smelly stuff, if you do not use that you will have a very beneficial bath. Use the sitz or baking soda or just plain water. You want to use warm to hot water, what ever feels good for you and light some candles. You will be in a relaxation bliss in no time!
