Exfoliating Before Bronzing
|
You
ALWAYS want to exfoliate before bronzing. It is a
must. If you don't, the bronzer will go on your skin
unevenly. If you have dry patches the color in the
bronzer will get soaked into the lines that makes
dry skin and it will be patchy color. If there is a
lot of dead skin cells it will look patchy. You
should exfoliate before bronzing.
There are two different kinds of exfoliaters you
want to use before bronzing. One for your face and
one for your body. You should use two different ones
because the skin on your face is so much more
delicate. Make sure on the package of the exfoliator
for your face it says "for your face". These
products should have round, microbeads for
exfoliators. Do not use ones the have fruit pits in
them. They smash the pit to make the exfoliators and
that will cause your skin to break out. It almost
makes little microscopic cuts on your skin because
the pieces of the pit are jagged and rough, not
smooth like the beads are. Dove makes a great face
wash with exfoliators. |

You
body exfoliator will be a little more rough. You
might notice the beads or exfoliants are bigger in
size. This is okay. Your skin on your body is a lot
tougher and actucally needs this to exfoliate well.
You can use any kind of body scrub. I like to put it
on any kind of sponge. It helps the exfoliating
process.
Another thing to remember is that you will need to
use seperate bronzers for your face and body. I
think the ones that are designed for your face have
different ingredients, that will not make your face
break out. I have used body bronzers on my face and
it broke out. So, make sure you buy seperates.

You
do want to make sure your skin is moisturized. You
can either put lotion on before bronzing or during
bronzing. If you put it on before, wait awhile
before applying the bronzer. It lets the lotion soak
in so that you do not have dry patches, this is
where the bronzer will soak into making it uneven.
The other option is to apply lotion during the
bronzing process. This is what I do. It is simple,
you just put the bronzer on your hand and add a
little lotion in with it. Rub it around your hands
first, to mix it, then apply to your skin. It helps
even the color out, and moisturize your skin. This
also will lessen the color just a touch, which I
actucally like because it looks more like a real
tan.
Just remember to exfoliate before bronzing. Buy
seperate exfoliators for your face and body.
Moisturize before or during bronzing. Also, get
different bronzers for your face and body. You will
look great! Keep in mind to still wear sunscreen
while outside, a fake tan doesn't mean you will not
burn! |
